With Alice is
a new venture set up by husband and wife team, Alison and Simon Jones, who run
the business (when their four-year-old son allows) from a Jacobean farmhouse in
a village near the heart of the Potteries.
The location enables them to source the best quality vintage items from
around the area.
At Tea With Alice, we specialise in the creation of sets of eclectic vintage teaware. We source vintage British pottery and china, which is then hand-selected and packaged luxuriously to make a timeless and unusual product.
The sets are made up of complementary combinations of vintage and retro teaware; china and pottery teacups, saucers and plates. Together, the cups & saucers make expertly blended, “harlequin” sets, perfect for a beautiful and individual tea-time occasion.
Each set is individually named and numbered, and presented with a hand-made card describing every item. All the sets are beautifully packaged in our exclusively designed Tea With Alice box. A number of completed sets are available, or we can make sets to order.
Sets are available of “vintage” character; namely, pretty, traditional floral and patterned pieces, evocative of nostalgic charm. Classic and decorative, they are usually of china or bone china. Alternatively, “retro” sets are available, consisting of stronger and funkier patterns from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Bold and quirky, they are usually of earthenware or pottery.
